A hybrid between a European and Chinese sand pear, this variety boasts large, yellow fruits. The white flesh is crisp, juicy, and has a slightly coarse texture. It produces fruit in late September to October. This pear tree is very hardy and tolerates hot climates. For optimal pollination, plant two trees. At maturity, the Kieffer Pear Tree typically reaches a height of 15-20 feet, with a spread of 10-15 feet.
